Primary tabs

Please join us for the next meeting of the PIMC "Engaging The Dharma" (ETD) initiative, when we will plan for two exciting upcoming offerings this Fall. We’ll provide deeper details about each offering, and answer any questions about how to participate.

DATE/TIME: Sun., Sept. 1 / 12:30-1:30pm (following the Dharma Talk)

          LOCATION:  PIMC Living Room

FOR MORE INFORMATION: Please email Tricia HERE

1.     First is the EcoSattva Training, a web-based series of six 90-minute sessions that will start mid-October. This training is sponsored by One Earth Sangha and looks head-on at the climate challenge we all face, exploring what a Buddhist response to this crisis would be. It will be taught by various national Buddhist leaders through the course of the sessions. There likely will be a fee for this training. The more people who sign up, the lower the cost-per-person.

To find out more about the training, especially if you are not able to attend the meeting, HERE is the direct link to the One Earth Sangha webpage about the training:

2.     Our second subject is to build a team of interested PIMC sangha members to take part in the International Climate Strike,on Sept. 20. We’ll look at the reasons for – and importance of -- this strike, what it will consist of, and how each of us can participate as part of a PIMC team.

Bill McKibben, renowned environmental activist said, “It’s likely that the Global Climate Strike will mark the largest day of climate protest in the planet’s history.”

If you cannot make it, but are interested in taking part in either or both of these offerings, please email Tricia at

PIMC began the ETD initiative in Oct. 2018, to give our sangha a platform for unified action. In this program, we explore and determine ways to be of service actively, effectively, and compassionately in the larger community outside of PIMC.

The ETD meetings are always on the 1st Sunday of the month, following the closing circle. All are welcome.

For information about the activities of ETD, please check out the ETD page on the PIMC website:
