Workshop: Creating a Transgender-Inclusive Sangha at PIMC (Fri., 11/30 at 7pm)

Primary tabs

Transgender people are among the most vulnerable and misunderstood in our culture. How can we make our community one in which transgender people can feel safer and more comfortable?
On Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, Mikki and Alezah will present a training on how to create a transgender-inclusive community at The Portland Insight Meditation Center (PIMC). This 90-minute session will present an overview of transgender identities, tips on becoming transgender allies, and exercises on making PIMC a welcoming place for transgender people.
All are welcome. While this workshop is intended to bring transgender awareness and understanding to people who attend meditation gatherings at PIMC, it is open to everyone who wants to learn more about transgender identity.

No pre-registration is required. Bring your curiosity and your questions.
Donation is appreciated, but not necessary.
