Winter 2019 Class: Skillful Speech & NVC at PIMC (10 Weeks, Starting 1/19)

Primary tabs

PIMC is pleased to offer our Skillful Speech series of classes for Winter/Spring 2019, to teach the foundational skills of NonViolent Communication (NVC)... or, as experienced NVC folks say, how to "speak giraffe".

Co-taught by Kirsten Smith (PIMC Volunteer Coordinator and NVC Facilitator) and Doyle Banks (Dharma teacher and NVC Facilitator), the class will introduce you to this beautiful tool you can apply to the Dharma in your day-to-day life. NVC can facilitate a life-long practice of empathic connection, and will help you to connect more deeply and consistently with your inner self, as well as with those around you. Using situations from their own lives, Doyle and Kirsten will demonstrate how NVC can help create connections with loved ones, co-workers, employers/employees, even complete strangers!  If you ever wanted to communicate more effectively and experience more peaceful, happier outcomes in your relationships, this is the class for you!

IMPORTANT!   Class size is limited to 20 people! If you aren't sure about taking the class, please consider asking to be placed on the Waiting List to give priority to folks who definitely want to participate. To be placed on the Waiting List, please send an email to:
