In the interest of providing a harmonious and rewarding opportunity to practice, we ask all participants to join us in creating a supportive meditative space by observing the following guidelines.
Please do your best to arrive a little early so we can start on time and minimize noise.
If you are late please enter quietly and sit near the back of the hall.
Please remove your shoes and place them in allocated areas.
Please turn off all electronic devices.
Creating Sacred Space
Please wear modest, appropriate clothing with an emphasis on comfort.
PIMC is an incense and smoke free center.
Out of respect for those with environmental illnesses please do not wear strong fragrances or strongly scented products to PIMC. We appreciate your help in keeping PIMC accessible to those with MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities)
Please make every effort to enter and leave meditation areas only at designated times. If you are present at the beginning of a Dharma Talk please remain until the end unless there is a pressing need to depart.
Please sit in an attentive posture during meditation and Dharma talks. Out of respect for the Dharma please do not lie down in the Dharma Hall unless it is medically necessary
Please refrain from bringing food or drink into the Dharma Hall. Covered water bottles are an exception.
Please refrain from drinking during meditation and Dharma talks.
